Psalm 91
If there was ever a time to stay grounded in God’s word – it’s here and now.
So much is happening around us that it’s difficult to keep pace and even more difficult to find accurate and truthful reporting of local, national and international events.
Our mainstream media is now funded by major pharmaceutical companies – just look at the ads next time you sit down to watch some TV.
You may wonder why that’s of importance – well it is important because the major pharmaceutical companies and corporations are now funding the operation of your TV stations through their advertising, some say up to 80% of funding. They also have influence in what TV shows actually go to air, which explains all the murder, horror, occult, and depressing programs we get offered on free-to-air channels.
Not only that, they are funding governments in many countries (including Australia) via huge political donations to major parties.
In other words, they’ve got the world’s system all stitched up – including military conflicts and involvement across the earth.
So, what do we do?
How do we get through each day, knowing what a corrupt world’s system we are trapped in?
We turn to God’s word and we live in his protection. Here’s the link to Psalm 91.
Wow! What a psalm – directly from the mouth of God.
Let me say that if you’re reading any other version than the King James bible, you’re getting lolly water instead of freshly squeezed orange juice. One is full of chemicals and lacking nutrition, the other is pure, natural and full of goodness. I’ve tried both and trust me when I say that the KJV bible is amazing – there’s a peace and comfort that arises in your spirit as you listen to the word.
You can listen to the KJV bible online too – here’s the link to James, who was Jesus’ half brother. If anyone knew how things worked it would have to be someone who grew up with the Lord don’t you think?!
It’s interesting when you really dig in and research these monopolistic companies – they have fingers in so many industries. It’s an impossible situation for mankind right now as we are trapped on this earth which is being run by a small group of families who, over the last century, have managed to take over the corporate world.
All of this information is freely available on the internet, so check it out for yourself.
As far as I can see, the only true freedom we have is in our spirits and to have a healthy spiritual life you need to be fed with the real word of God, the fresh orange juice.
You also need to be alive in the spirit and that means giving yourself to God. Jesus said he knocks on the door to our hearts and when we open our hearts to him we become new creations in Jesus Christ.
In fact the word says:
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
So, if you have any doubts in your heart as to the state of your spirit, let Jesus in! You will know when you are alive in the spirit of God because an amazing peace begins to fill your heart, a feeling like no other. The absolute love of God begins to flow in you as you learn who you are in Jesus Christ. Jesus describes the peace of God as:
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Then you feed your spirit on the word of God.
That’s how you grow your faith –
Romans 10:17 says:
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Is it that simple? Yes it is.
Here’s Psalm 91 – get to know it and stand on that protection for you, your family and all those you look after – friends, work, community.
Psalm 91
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress;
my God in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust, his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness: nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.
Psalm 91 is actually a conversation – when you look at it like this:
It starts with a statement of faith for protection:
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress;
my God in him will I trust.
Then a reply:
Then:
Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
And finally we have God’s promise
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.
And then you can say to yourself, it doesn’t matter what mankind tries to do (it’s foretold by Jesus in Revelation that trial and tribulation will come) because you are safe in the knowledge of who you are in Jesus Christ.
You are dwelling in the secret place of the Most High under the shadow of the Almighty.
Woohoo!
